"I believe these blogs from Jim Callner's own experience with OCD will help bring hope and understanding, both to those challenged with OCD, and to their families." ~ Hasanna Fletcher, LMFT
"Many people with OCD struggle in painful and lonely silence. They hope there are others, who have experienced what they are experiencing, willing to share their story. Jim Callner is willing to share his life experiences coping with OCD and is inviting you to share yours. What better way to to find encouragement and hope than to discover so many others also desiring mutual understanding and support". ~ Ron Wiebe, MSW, BCD, Retired
"Jim Callner's calm, knowledgeable and reassuring style makes the challenge of doing Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD seem not only clear and understandable but also comfortably achievable." ~ Christian R. Komor, Psy.D.

I chose "fearless" this year because I want to "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway", as Susan Jeffers wrote.
This is a meditation by Jeanine Sande (with music by me!) to help you feel present in your body and in touch with your intuition. All of this helps with anxiety that comes with OCD.
Visit Jeanine's blog for more information on why she created this meditation.
Codependent Anonymous has helped me greatly with OCD.Yep, believe it our not the 12 Step program of Coda has helped me for 24 years in giving me real tools to deal with the control, people pleasing and shame issues that OCD present in my life just to name a few. 12 step programs are not for everyone but for me whether it's Obsessive Compulsive Anonymous or CODA it helps! I am holding a workshop on Aug 13th, 2011 at a Coda Mini Conference in Santa Cruz, CA. Check out the information on this flyer if you are interesting in coming.
Many many times I feel so alone with this disorder and then something comes into my life that reminds me I'm not. I'm simply not! Take a look at this fantastic preview of the film I AM and get inspired. I just saw this trailer and it brought me to tears reminding me we are all connected. I'm not alone ~ none of us are..... we will never be. Today take action to connect with someone...it will be a good day. Take a look and then see this film.
